A beautiful, large, and showy mushroom. This tasty treat is found in the late summer and fall on hardwood stumps and logs throughout much of the US. Oak, walnut and beech are favorites but it will grow well on many types of hardwoods. Lion's Mane is a medicinal mushroom and is said to improve cognitive ability. Package of 100 dowels; we recommend using a 5/16" drill bit set at 1" depth to drill holes for the dowels.
