Ficus carica 'Peter's Honey'

Brought from Sicily, this fig is one of the best. The skin is a beautiful, shiny yellow/green, developing dark pinprick sugar spots when ripe, and the flesh is rich amber and "honey" sweet when completely ripe.

Small eye that drips honey when fully ripened - about 30 days after Desert King.

This variety is grown from tissue culture and has been heat-treated to significantly reduce the presence of Fig Mosaic Virus.
