Sambucus racemosa 'Red Elderberry'

The Washington native Red Elderberry is a versatile, deciduous shrub or small tree that thrives in moist environments, making it a valuable addition to gardens and natural landscapes. Bright red berries appear in summer, providing food for over 30 bird species and other wildlife. The berries are toxic when raw but can be cooked into jellies, sauces, or wine.
