Very well-suited to first-of-the-season plum tarts and chutneys! Also known as "Elma", Sanctus Hubertus is a early-ripening purple dessert plum from Belgium. Originally released in 1963, it received the Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society. The flavors of the roundish fruits are rich and complex, and not as candy sweet as other plums.

Its heavy and reliable load of medium-size fruit ripens midsummer. Make sure they ripen fully before harvesting. Requires a pollinizer.
