An heirloom variety of yellow apple originally discovered in France in the 1500s, Ananas Reinette means “pineapple russet”, named so for the distinctive vertical green stripes visible on the skin. With a tart-sweet fine grained flesh and a crispy hearty crunch, Ananas Reinette is a great keeper apple that ripens in mid October and is as great for fresh eating as it is for cooking. Mid season bloom.
