This early-ripening grape variety does well in the Pacific Northwest and warmer regions of the northern states, developing its best flavors in areas with less hot, humid summers. A pink grape with small compact clusters and a characteristic spicy flavor, it's known for producing some of the most aromatic white wines in the world.
Vines appear to be most healthy and productive at GDD of 1700-1800. Grows in USDA Zone 5-9.
